Congratulations on starting your quit journey.
It’s your first day – here’s a few things to get you going on the right track.
1. Delay the first smoke or vape
We recommend on the first day to try and delay the first one for as long as possible. Decide on how long you will make yourself wait and set an alarm, or start a stopwatch, and see how long you can hold off for. You’ll start to notice the time gets longer and longer as nicotine leaves your body (and so will the cravings).
2. When a craving hits - do one of the 4Ds
3. Reward yourself
Then, when you beat a craving reward yourself with something nice such as a mint, a coffee or a high five. You’ll start to replace the ‘hit’ with something else pretty soon. Great job.
4. Finding it tricky?
